No Normal Days

I have learned to be able to relax and let go and not make too many plans because most of the time it doesn't work. I loved that in Belgium I had my plans and I was able to follow them. Here, you never know. You start in the morning and you have to go with the flow because anything can happen. There is no such thing as a normal day.

Letting Go

I like every one of the students. I wouldn’t believe it if someone else told me that. But I really do like each of them. There’s something charming about every single one of them. I do like the mischievous ones as well, even more sometimes. I was a mischievous kid as well so I can’t be hypocritical.

Finding My Place

In this system, I became more conscious about myself also. I feel like I’m growing up and learning with the children also. It’s a challenge to be a teacher in such a school because you have to find your own unique way to interact with children. Somehow we have to find the core of what they need.
